Barbara Cooper, 2008 Scholarship Recipient

A 6th year doctoral student in the Education Leadership program at the University of Colorado – Denver.  

Described by her professors as, “highly intelligent, competent, well-rounded, and capable of accomplishing any task through her strong sense of motivation and drive.”

Assistant Professor Dorothy Garrison-Wade went on to say, “Barbara is an outstanding student. She has maintained a 3.85 GPA. She is a stellar professional with outstanding leadership skills. As a 1st generation Ph.D. student, Barbara is committed to completing her Ph.D. to make an impact within her community.”

Barbara was awarded the first annual Mrs. Colorado Foundation Scholarship in the amount of one-thousand dollars.
