Scholarships

The Mrs. Colorado Foundation is proud to partner with the Mrs. Colorado Pageant to recognize the determination and commitment of community award recipients during the annual pageant competition. 

Award Recipients

2008 - Barbara Cooper
A 6th year doctoral student in the Education Leadership program at the University of Colorado – Denver.  Described by her professors as, “highly intelligent, competent, well-rounded, and capable of accomplishing any task through her strong sense of motivation and drive.” Assistant Professor Dorothy Garrison-Wade went on to say, “Barbara is an outstanding student. She has maintained a 3.85 GPA. She is a stellar professional with outstanding leadership skills. As a 1st generation Ph.D. student, Barbara is committed to completing her Ph.D. to make an impact within her community.”

Barbara was awarded the first annual Mrs. Colorado Foundation Scholarship in the amount of one-thousand dollars.

2007 - Lynn McNichols
Lynn’s was the first woman to be recognized by the Mrs. Colorado Foundation.  For both her determination and inspiration, the foundation presented Lynn with a new computer.
